The goal is to foster the
culture of implementing international human rights standards by expanding
the capacity of judicial officers and advocates to understand and apply
principles of international human rights standards in domestic
courts. This is carried out through
. Monitoring developments at
the United Nations and its organs and analysis of domestic
impact and application . Research and advocacy for
law and policy reforms in compliance with Nigeria’s
international obligations . Promoting ratification
and monitoring compliance with international legal research
and publication on gender equality and human rights and impact on the
domestic legal system . Compilation and analyses
of decisions from national, regional and
international courts on issues of human rights . Publication of an
annual journal on international development and domestic policies
and information on jurisdictions around the world, case summaries
and case
